T. R. King sold 2000 of these small crown chips in seven denominations to Joe Yabes, 2880 W. 166th, Gardena, California on 11/20/1950 and on 9/10/1952. Immediately before these chips were delivered, a large gambling operation was raided at this address on 2/8/1950, with 49 people arrested (see "Archive").

Yabes was arrested on gambling charges in Oxnard in 1944 and 1947. T. R. King delivered other chips to him in Oxnard in 1950 (see "Diaz Cigar Store", Oxnard, CA). In the 1950s, Yabes owned a tobacco store at 1650 Redondo Beach Blvd. in Gardena.
