ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
524 Main Street
Porterville, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1950, Close: 1955

First owned by G. L. and Prudence Meek.

T. R. King sold 1000 of these large crown chips in four colors to G. L. Meek, 524 North Main St, Porterville, California, in 1950. This was the address of the Porterville Recreation Club.

The Staeffler Memorial California Card Room (2019) guide identifies these chips as being used at "Meek's Card Room", 623 North Main Street, Porterville, but there is some doubt about that attribution.

Listing from the 1950 Tulare County Yellow Pages, under "Clubs" (Library of Congress).
