143 Main St.
Rio Vista, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1930, Close: 1963

Bar and restaurant originally owned by William (Bill) Foster, a big game hunter who decorated his establishment with his trophies. The basement had a hidden poker room. After Foster's death in 1963, his widow sold the Big Horn to Frank Snyder, who had been a bartender in the bar. The restaurant and bar are still open.

The use of both the diamond and square-square-rectangle mold chips at Foster's Big Horn was confirmed by Phil Pezzaglia, the curator of the Rio Vista Museum. He received the chips directly from former owner Frank Snyder.

Same as CG 037344, except that someone cancelled the chip by buffing off the first and last letters. Why go through all the work? Maybe the chip ended up being used at a different cardroom?
