Originally owned by Welker Cochran and Dave Palm. Cochrane won five world billiard championships between 1927 and 1944. The parlor was raided in 1938, after police officers who were on the roof of the building to investigate a small fire elsewhere, viewed below through a sky light several poker games in progress. Richard Hartman, the manager, and nine others were arrested. In 1946, it became the "924 Billiard Club", owned by Cochran.
