Possibly originally owned by Jim Sullivan. Managed by Bert (The Barber) Busterna between 1942 and 1946. It was a thirteen table card room, open 24-hours, and hidden in the rear of the "Day-Night Cigar and Liquor Store". It was testified in court that Elmer “Bones” Remmer became a partner in the club in 1943. In 1947 court testimony, it was one of the three San Francisco clubs that Remmer acknowledged owning (see "Archive").
Also called the "186 Club". The address was previously the location of the "Padre Club", which was raided and closed in 1936 for illegal gambling. In 1948, it became the "Bones' Corner" tavern, which was also owned by Remmer.
