Laborers & Hod Carriers Local Union No. 73. In 1947, the "Filipino Recreation Center", which shared the 144 E. Lafayette address with Local 73, was raided for illegal gambling. In 1951, an illegal blackjack game in the basement of the hall was raided by police during a dance on the main floor.
