T. R. King shipped 2100 of these "C&S" large crown chips in seven colors to George S. Cannon, at 210 Georgia St., Vallejo, California (the address of Sportland) in 1945. Cannon had previously been arrested in Vallejo on gambling charges in 1938 (see "Archive").

The attribution of the similar Diamond-mold chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
