According to Gene Trimble's USPC Records, The Pines chip was delivered to W.A. Bauer August 24, 1929 in New Albany, Indiana. Reference sample board that shows 4,200 crest & seal chips were in the order for two chips (brown-mustard color and a red chip Both had same design. An entry in the Chip Guide shows two later model chips similar logo but different chip mold. In that listing The Pines, with Picture of pine tree was run by T. Bailey, A. Bauer, G. Kramer, W. Wolford and open from 1929 thru 1940's. Only the two color chips were issued in this 1929 chip.
