The Blue Goose Inn has been operating in its current location since at least 1910; at that time it was a saloon and grocery owned by John Green, Jr. and his wife Ida, and it ran that way until the end of Prohibition. When Prohibition ended, it cashed in on that opportunity to change form and became the Blue Goose Inn, the forerunner of the bar and restaurant it is today.
