The place is notable since it was one of the last straws that sent all of the clubs way underground, ended the large places, most of those afterwards masqueraded as home games and ended the raids. It was supposedly located at 37th & 3rd Avenue, near the Empire State Building. After being raided a few times, they moved to this location, near their original spot. Within a few weeks, they were robbed by four men calling themselves "one," "two," and "three." No name was used for the fourth, who apparently beat up a cage worker trying to get information on a vault. While this happened, one of the other three dropped his sawed-off shotgun. While he picked it up, his hand gun discharged and hit a 55 year-old math teacher from New Jersey in the chest. He died later that day, leaving behind a wife and a 16 year-old daughter. It was the end of the club and really seemed to end the whole scene, which soon morphed into something a bit different (small places, that frequently moved, home games, etc).
