ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
1351 5th Avenue
San Diego, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1947, Close: 1950

Owned by Estella Huckins and Gertrude Fleming. The "Ladies Card Room" was previously at this address in the mid-1940s (see "Archive"). According to Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2021) it was also located at 1232 4th Avenue.

The attribution of the L-mold hot stamp chip is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004). Not listed in Eastman (1998). The attribution of this L-mold chip to the Derby Card Room in San Diego is in doubt. C. W. Rice (Oakland, CA), rarely sold their L-mold chips in Southern California.

Listing from the 1948 San Diego City Yellow Pages, under "Card Rooms".
