On June 20, 2020 the 250,000th item was added to the ChipGuide. It is an incredible COMMUNITY achievement. Collectors went through their collections to find items that were not on the ChipGuide and scanned them and submitted the images. ChipGuide Admins processed the submissions. The CCA and the MoGH host the ChipGuide website. Everyone was involved and everyone benefits. There is probably not another hobby like Casino Collectibles in the world, you should all be proud of this achievement.
To commemorate the event, a special "Thanks a ¼ Million" chip was produced, only 100 were made, each with a serial#. The chips are for a fund raiser for the Museum of Gaming History They were only $10 each, $15 if you wanted a specific serial#, first come first serve. All 100 chips sold out in 5 days and raised $1,867.50 for the MoGH.
Along with the "Thanks a ¼ Million" chip was a raffle was held. A website, RANDOM.ORG, was used to generate a random number between 1 and 100. The owner of the "Thanks A ¼ Million" chip with that serial# won the raffle prize of the five $1 Thunderbird host chips shown below. The raffle was staged as a live video event on June 24th with 30 collectors tuning in. The winner is Paul Liscio, #21.
