Sun Jo 1 Casino Ship - Eilat, Israel. The Sun Jo 1 opened in May 1996.I worked on it from the day it opened (actually a month before too) hence I know which the first set were. This info per Garin Williamson. Panamian Flag. Ship details: build at VIGO SHIPYARDS (Spain) , length 62.8m, beam 12.5m, draft 3.1m. Was one of the best casino ships in Eilat. Started in 1996 since 2000 he went only once in bankruptcy and he stop just for dry dock. Luxury interior, 3 casinos, slot area, sun deck, entertainment area, swimming pool (Sun Jo 1 dealers used to say :"cool by the pool"). The ship used to be the main casino attraction in Eilat, he sailed 2-3 times per day 4 hour sail. During the winter season in 2000 the ship owner decided to take to ship to dry dock in Romania were he extend the main casino (main deck, stern side on the picture), and he took the ship to Caribbean Sea to start a new casino operation in Miami. Membership Card. It was meant to be issued as a VIP card (membership) but probably ran into too much red tape as the boats were a grey area. I know they were made but not given out (like the pens/lighters and other stuff) in 1996. As far as I know, they were stored and then destroyed.
