In 1977, P&O re-branded its passenger division, creating P&O Cruises and P&O Cruises Australia. P&O Cruises announced in May 2011 that it will expand its fleet with a 141,000-tonne cruise ship, built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, scheduled to enter service in March 2015.
