In September 2022, Bally's purchased the non-land assets of the Tropicana Las Vegas from GLPI and Penn Entertainment for $148 million.
On May 15, 2023, Bally's made an agreement with the Oakland Athletics MLB team for their new stadium on the site currently occupied by the Tropicana Hotel and Casino.
The Tropicana closed on April 2, 2024. It will demolished to make way for a major league baseball stadium.

This variation is a manufacturer (Blue Chip Company) effort to correct a 4-notch chip, where only 2 notches were needed for the purple and fuchsia inserts. They filled-in the 2 extra notches with inserts as close in color as possible with the color of the chip body. In this example, the 2 fill-in inserts are slightly darker than the chip body.
