Cardroom licensed to Fernando ("Fat") DeMartini from 1960 and into the late 1970s. John Costa co-owned the club. DeMartini also owned the nearby "Fatt's Casino Lounge". The Hangout was on the same block as the "Pix Club".

The attribution of the H&C and L-mold hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
