| December 23, 2015 – Burnaby, BC – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited (Gateway) announced today that it has acquired Playtime Gaming (Playtime). The Playtime acquisition adds six new properties to the company making it the largest and most diversified gaming company in Canada.
Playtime Gaming Inc. opened the first four commercial bingo facilities in British Columbia in 1986. In 2007, Playtime Gaming expanded its operations after the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) approved the expansion of bingo-only facilities into Community Gaming Centres – gaming entertainment venues located in markets where the cost of a large scale casino would not be justified. Community Gaming Centres operate slot machines, electronic table games and bingo, along with full service restaurants and bars. |
