In the last quarter of the 19th century, the QUADEN family opens a hotel-restaurant near the Visé train station. On August 15, 1914, the building was set on fire by the Germans who destroyed almost everything in the city. After the war, a new Grand Hotel is built. In 1938, Dutch investors wanted to install a game room in one of the many rooms of the Grand Hotel. A sum of 50,000 F "circulates" between the 2 countries. It seems that it was used to purchase the authorization. The casino has been running for a few weeks ... Part of the walls were integrated in 1962 into the College Saint-Hadelin.
