The Antarctica brewery had the commercial strategy of creating spaces to promote the consumption of its products. Thus was born in 1914 (we also found references to have opened in 1909) Casino Antarctica, taking advantage of the facilities of an old coffee concert. It was a space with more than 1200 seats, stage of the jazz band, with concerts of famous artists and great carnival balls and parties for the high society, that chose it like privileged place of entertainment. There were also the can-can dancers and prostitutes coming from Paris. Ribeirão Preto was a thriving city at the time, being the most important coffee-growing center in the world, and had an intense recreational and cultural movement. Throughout the French influence it was then dubbed "Petite Paris". It was said that the casino was very frequented by the coffee barons, who lit the cigars with bank notes. In this environment the game could not miss It was run by the then famous businessman Francisco Cassoulet, of French origin, who in addition to the casino was businessman of two theaters, restaurants and cafes concerts. He declared bankruptcy in 1917, when we assumed the closing of the casino
