Originally owned by Fernando "Fats" DeMaritini and Johnny H. Costa, who were also co-owners of the ”Old Hangout”. It was first located at 4675 Clayton Road, and in the 1960s moved to 1197 Monument Blvd.
After Fernando's death in 1976, the club was taken over by his son, Kenny DeMartini. Gaming likely ended in the 1990s, although the bar was open until the 2000s.
The attribution of the H&C hot stamp chips is traced to Eastman's Illustrated Guide to California Card Room Gaming Chips & Checks (1998).
