The Adobe Creek Lodge opened in the 1940s as a lodge and recreation center. It was bought by David Bellucci in 1961 and became a members only Adobe Creek Country Club. It ran afoul of local zoning laws and had to close by 1976, although it remained open until 1979. Its last owner, poker player David Bellucci, is believed to have held card games there using the BAC (Belluci Adobe Creek?) chips. He owned "Bellucci's House of Poker" in Live Oak during the 1990s.
