The attribution of the L-mold chip to Livemore and years of operation are traced to the Staeffler Memorial California Card Room Guide (2010). Not listed in Eastman (1998), or Pfaender (2013).
In Livermore there was a card room in the Granada Bowl, a bowling alley, but it was called "The Ante Room" (see Advertisement) rather than "Granada Club". It is possible that these chips were used there. On the other hand, there were several other "Granada Club" licensed card rooms in Northern California where these chips may have been used, one in Stockton (1940s-1950s), and another in Alviso (1950s-1960s).
