Originally owned by Jay Carty & James Price, who ordered chips in 1951. The tavern was destroyed by a fire that year, and was bought by Adolph Fitz, who rebuilt the tavern and owned it until his death in 1955.
T. R. King sold 2200 of these large crown chips in six colors to Roy Jones, China Lake Tavern (1337 and 1341 North China Lake Blvd.) Ridgecrest, California, between 1956 and 1959.
