Originally owned by George Wiechring, who also owned the "Stag Liquor Store" at the same address. Both were within the Hotel Cominos building. Both stores were bought by William Chittick in 1939.

It was previously the location of "The United Cigar Store". It became the "Bachelors' Club" in 1949.
