Became: Bonanza Club
154 Post Street
San Jose, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1952, Close: 1965

Originally opened at 90 Bassett Street and owned by Manuel Garcia. In the early 1960s, it moved to 154 Post Street. It later became the "Bonanza Club" (see "Became").

The attribution of the L-mold chips below to the Hi-Lo Club in San Jose is in doubt. C. W. Rice shipped different Horse Head Left chips with a "HI-LO CLUB" hot stamp to the San Jose club in 1963. Note the hyphen. These HILO L-mold chips were more likely used at the "HILO Club" in Atheron/Redwood City.
