| Pool hall and card room owned by Monico Orellio. In 1949, police warned Orellio to cease offering "pi-que" a Chinese gambling card game. Unlike draw poker, the game was a banking game, which violated California law. The pool hall was raided in 1950, with an arrest for the dealing of an illegal Chinese domino game (see "Archive"). The "Star Pool Hall" was previously at this address.
Mason & Co. shipped 1000 of these chips in three denominations to M. Orello [sic], 223 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California, in 1952. This was the address of the "Orellio Pool Hall".
