A luxury California-Spanish style motel located on a four acre property that was just a ten minute walk from entry into Tijuana, Mexico. Originally owned by Tony N. Silva. The motel was open into the 1980s, but gaming likely ended in the early 1950s.
T. R. King sold 1200 of these small crown mold chips in four denominations to El Toreador Motel, Tony M. Silva, 631 Tia Juana Blvd., San Ysidro, California, on 10/18/1951. In 1952, ownership of the chips was transferred to the "Lucky Spot Card Room" (San Diego, CA) c/o H. E. Carnahan. At least 200 more chips were ordered by Carnahan and Floyd Sudol in 1953.
