Casino opened in May, 23, 1841. The casino was for the Blanc brothers an extraordinary economic success, and they a large fortune. After the founding of German Empire, the ban of gambling was extended to the whole territory of the Reich, and the casino closed in 1872. François Blanc devoted exclusively to the now famous Casino de Monte Carlo, which was acquired in 1863, and this led to even greater success than Bad Homburg. Only in April 7, 1949 opened again the Casino Bad Homburg.
