After the Second World War, the City Council approved the concession of a new casino in Lindau. Edition, however, was that 70% of game proceeds should be donated for charitable purposes. The dream of a casino on the "German Riviera of the Swabian Sea" was a reality. In record time a temporary building was erected in wood, which after 40 years no longer corresponded to the standards of other modern casinos.
Therefore, the Viennese architect Hans Lechner was commissioned to design a building that takes up the specific location of the island and connects with modern elements and functional needs.
On 15 July 2000, officially opened the new building of the casino. The large glass surfaces offer a unique view over Lake Constance. ( casino site).
The casino is owned by Bayerische Spielbanken. Nowadays in all BS casinos are used similar chips with generic Bayerische Spielbanken designation
