In 1877 this area from Bidart was an isolated oceanfront . Société Anonyme des Bains de Mer erects Castel Biarritz grouping a spa center. Unfortunately it is a failure , as the magnificent property facing the Atlantic Ocean will not attract the rich clientele. In December 1883, the Castel Biarritz has sold to a Biarritz pharmacist who wishes to turn it into a casino. It is the failure. The English King Edward VIII, who was a regular in Biarritz, purchased the domain wich it will renamed Sacchino and transformed into a royal residence.It will be the residence of Queen Natalie.She never leaves Sacchino until the war of 14-18 when he fled to Paris. It was in memory of this passage that the Sacchino palace was named Royal Pavillon. Subsequently the Pavillon Royal was chaired and installed there a casino whit gambling,who organized worldly activities in this sumptuous property. Gambling still worked in 1927. The Cercle went bankrupt in 1928 and then the building was sold . to a a Belgian-american millionaire.
