| The first casino in Cannes opened in 1863 to meet the demand of tourists, especially English tourists.
It was a casino theater set on the Croisette, gothic-style castle with cremated towers facing the sea. Its interior is luxurious.
Due to the lack of rentability due to insufficient demand, it closed in 1867, becoming the building in Hotel Beau Rivage, later refurbished and included in the Majestic Hotel, still existing today. |
