In 1884 is built a wooden casino. The experience will go no further than the 1885 season. From July 15, 1886, a new casino is installed at Château du Bois-Vert. The three rooms of the castle being insufficient, a room of 30 meters by 12 meters is built, from May to July 1887, as an extension of the castle. A Cercle, reading rooms, gambling rooms, restaurant are arranged. There are teatre performances three times a week; on ball days, the theater becomes dancing.
In 1908 will be built a new building on the ground floor in the Bois-Vert, intended to accommodate the new gambling room - casino. On the terrace of this building there is an open air café and dancing. A little further in the park, a kiosk is installed, serving as a bar. A large wooden shed will be built to serve as a new theater and performances hall.
The Château du Bois-Vert, which lost its theater-casino function, was transformed and became, in 1913, the Hôtel du Casino. The municipality of Fouras eventually acquired, on September 1, 1946, the whole of the locality Bois-Vert, including the Chateau-Hotel, the new Casino, largely degraded by the German occupation, and all outbuildings. The Casino is still in place, managed by the Emerald group.
The casino worked from1948 without any interruption.
