Paramé had the Grand Casino that was inaugurated in 1883 and that closed in 1934 by economic difficulties. In 1908 it was authorized the gambling for a period of 2 years in a new casino designated by Kursaal de Rochebonne. "MUNICIPAL COUNCIL- The Municipal Council of Paramé met on Monday night ... The issue of games- ..on then goes on the agenda that brings the issue of gambling at the new Casino said KURSAAL DE ROCHEBONNE ... .M. Hervé is authorized to hold the gambling under the control of the agents of the State. The levy on the profit of the games is fixed at 8%, but the royalty must never be less than 1500 francs. In case there are performances, the director of the Kursaal would be required to pay a Poor's Right. This treaty is valid for two years. Mr. Hervé accepted the conditions of this treaty. After WW1, the Kursaal was expanded to become the Hotel of the Ocean. Billiards were available.
