| The Casino-Hotel Frascati was built in wood and inaugurated in 1839 .The first Frascati therefore consisted of a hotel and a casino together. The hotel comprised of 200 rooms. The set consisted of a central building with two wings. In 1867, Frascati can finally be rebuilt in hard. After its conversion into temporary hospital during the War of 1870, the hotel was rebuilt in full. The inauguration took place in April 1872. In 1897, the owner changed. Frascati is bought by Mr Vivier, that already owns the Casino Marie-Christine. Two years later, in 1899, Frascati Casino closed its doors. In January 1900, a fire ravaged the auditorium and part of the adjoining galleries.
After some years of survival, Hotel was closed in 1906 and selled. Modernized, it reopened in 1911 before being turned into a new military hospital in 1914
Finally Palace Frascati was acquired in 1929 by the CIM (Compagnie Industrielle Maritime), who wanted to give in Frascati scale and monumentality that he had never had before.
125 new rooms occupied the upper four floors.
Since the takeover in 1929 until the outbreak of war in September 1939, Frascati experienced ups and downs. Frascati was initially occupied by the English and then from 1940 by the German army. The RAF Bombing has caused him serious damage, particularly on the south wing during a night raid in October 1940. Seriously damaged by bombing in June and September 1944, that ended totally the hotel.
