The Indiana Gaming Commission requires chips contain the name of the riverboat license holder, which is not Argosy Gaming Company, but rather Indiana Gaming Company, L.P., which is only partly owned by Argosy. Since the license wasn't in Argosy's name, the chips couldn't legally have the Argosy name. The "ARGOSY" chips from the original order were returned to Paulson to be cancelled and a new order was placed with the correct name. Some of the $1 chips have been found "never cancelled". Only 1-$2.50 is known "never cancelled" and none of the higher denomination chips have been found "never cancelled". HS-cancelled chips have been found with the cancellation removed. |
