San Pellegrino Terme, Italy 24016 MAP
Type: Land Based
Status: Closed
Open: 1907, Close: 1946

The building was designed by Romolo Squadrelli, a Milanese architect who was also responsible for the construction of the Grand Hotel. It was built between 1904 and 1906. In 1907 it started the gambling activity which lasted only 10 years, with some interruptions. In fact in 1917 it was closed in application of the Orlando law. It subsequently reopened a few years later but closed again in 1924 by order of the Duce. In 1946 it reopened thanks to an agreement with the allied armies but closed in the following months due to management problems.
