(Phil Jensen) I would occasionally stop in the Zanzibar when I lived in Reno but it was kind of plain with not much atmosphere. Kind of crummy really. The most attractive thing about it was the large, colorful green and yellow neon sign over the entrance (pictured on the ashtray). The place was torn down maybe twenty or so years ago but you can still see the floor (last time I looked) where it was across from the Peppermill. There was no connection to the Zanzibar in Las Vegas.
