| In 2005, the company changed its name to Thunderbird Resorts.
That same year, Thunderbird merged its operations in Nicaragua with the owners of the Pharaoh’s brand. The company that was created still controls a dominant market share in Nicaragua.
Also in 2005, Thunderbird chose to expand to Asia. Its first development, Fiesta Casino Rizal on the outskirts of Manila, opened in April of 2005 and was soon followed by Fiesta Casino Poro Point.
The company currently operates in Nicaragua and Peru. The company is domiciled in the British Virgin Islands and is headquartered in the Republic of Panama. |
