| Casino Fundanense,faces the town halls. The building construction started in March 14, 1896, for the Club and Theater. To carry out this construction was set up in 1895 a company by shares. The erection of Casino Fundanense was due to the initiative and great tenacity of José Germano da Cunha.
This is not easy to express deep emotion that must have been the heart of Joseph Germano when on the green cloth of a table game, was placed the first deck of cards. (José Germano da Cunha-Tribute paid to his memory 11/24/1912).
Sociedade Anónima de Responsabilidade Limitada, Casino Fundanense was incorporated by public deed on April 3, 1895.

"It created a society in Fundão, limited liability, in order to lead to the construction of a theater and a club contiguous, and then built , run and explore.This company is called CASINO FUNDANENSE "
The casino opened in 1896.
