| Paço d' Arcos a beach located between Lisbon and Estoril was known as the "sea of supreme elegancies "
The Casino de Paço d´Arcos was opened on September 9, 1875 , by the Marquis of Frontier ,and its inaugural ball " was pompous and widely varied and crowded by large number of ladies and gentlemen of the first families who were bathing in these sites , and coming to some of Lisbon " .
This casino was also known as Clube de Paço de Arcos and Clube dos Banhistas (Bathers Club ).
Casino de Paço d´Arcos was installed in a building , we now see in the bottom of the park, showing its large glazed balcony .
The Casino was the meeting place of the aristocratic families who demanded Paço d´Arcos during the bathing season . Him " A pianist performing waltzes , polkas and mazurcas. As Thursdays and Sundays , the evening were gala.” Along with the elegant parties the gambling . Do not know the closing date ( today is the seat of a sports club ) .The Casino de Paço d'Arcos worked only during the bathing season and each year it was concessioned to a different manager (J. Fleuer in 1910,Valentim Lopes Domingues in 1918,Secundino Alonso in 1919, ..)
