LE PRIVE CLUB – LONDONDERRY HOUSE 1980 Sir David Barclay and the shady financer David “Spotty” Rowland were both directors of a company called Guardlot Limited which applied for a casino licence for their newly formed Le Prive Club in the basement of Sir David Barclay and Ex-Bankrupt Sir Frederick Barclay's Londonderry House Hotel in Old Park Lane, London W1, which was rejected by the London licensing court. Sir David Barclay and shady financier David “Spotty” Rowland appealed at Knightsbridge Crown Court on the 21st April 1980, but there appeal was rejected.
