Opened in 1949 with 35 tables. Originally a minority partner, Bow Herbert was sole owner of the club from 1951 until his death in 1972. By 1952, Herbert also owned the nearby ”Gardena Club”, and some chips were used in both locations. Beginning in 1987, it was sometimes called the "Horseshoe Casino".
