Owned by Joseph (Joe) Corrales in the 1950s and 1960s, and bought by Louis Rayas around 1970. Became the "Arrow Club" (see "Became").
The attribution of the small-key chips is from the Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2021). Listed as "location unknown" in The Gaming Table (2017). It has been suggested that these small-key mold chips may have been more likely used at the ”Acme Club” in El Cerrito (1931-1939) which was known for its high stakes gambling, and was 80 miles away.
Listing (top) from the 1964 Hollister Yellow Pages, under "Taverns". Note, it was a couple of doors down from the "Smoke House" tavern. |
