Originally owned by Henry Nunes, and managed by Danny Nunes. Danny was arrested in 1940 at the club for making an illegal payoff to a pinball machine game winner. An active bookmaking operation was reported there in 1946 (see Archive). Fred and Jack Giacomo took over ownership of the club in 1953. The club closed in 1957 and the "Gold Nugget Club" moved to its location.
The attribution of these small-key-mold chips is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2013). Listed as "location unknown" in The Gaming Table (2017).
