The bar was first raided in 1937, bookmaking paraphernalia was seized, and the owner, Charles F. Adams, was arrested. A rear room of the bar had a door that connected to the "North Beach Businessmen's Social Club" which had gambling. Halford G. [Ralph] Flanders and Stanley Jones owned the club in the 1940s and 1950s. Poker and pan games were raided in 1954, with chips confiscated. Existed into the 1970s as a bar (see Archive).
T. R. King sold 7000 of the large crown chips in nine colors to Halford G. Flanders, 209 Stevenson St. in 1946 and 1948.
