With the legalization of gambling in 1977 were opened three casinos in Catalunya – Barcelona, Lloret del Mar and Perelada.
Casino de Lloret opened in 1978, Casino de Barcelona in July 1979 and Casino Castillo de Peralada in August 1979. Casino Barcelona stood at Sant Peres de Ribes ( pictured) and was transferred in 1999 for the Olympic Port of Barcelona.
Each casino had its own French jetons. The american chips with designation Casinos Catalunya were used interchangeably in the three casinos.
Casino Catalunya became Grup Peralada. We are not sure when the change was made. |
