LE GRAND CERCLE. The famous club opened in 1829, was settled at 12 Rue de Presbourg, near the Arc du Triomphe in Paris. Famous for the gambling with unlimited stakes, and moving fortunes, becomes attractive for illicit organizations. In 1959 Grand Cercle it is in the responsibility of a union, with questionable links. In 1960 the ensemble of the employers will crack. The two remaining partners began what was then known as “ Guerre des Jeux” ( gambling war), which will be make eight dead. In March30, 1964, the Grand Cercle was assaulted, customers and the vault of Grand Cercle, were stolen. Both of the remaining partners ended up murdered – one in May 4, 1965 - hit by gusts of two machine guns, the other was assassinated in Marseille in June 23, 1967 – eleven balls went through his heart. La Grand Cercle is registered in a list of Paris Cercles, but no longer in the similar list from 1994. It would be closed before 1990.
