| The history of the local has its roots in 1837, when the Duke Carlo Lodovico of Bourbon granted permission to build a casino . The opening of the casino took place in 1839 . In 1846, however, was decreed the prohibition of all gambling games. Since then, the elegant rooms of the casino Bagni di Lucca saw only musical and literary academies, dance parties, and "innocent" games such as billiards, etcThus began the slow decline of Bagni di Lucca. In 2009, the gaming hall was reopened, but, in spite of high expectations, the task proved to be a real flop. In 09.18.2011 the casino was reopened.
