Notwithstanding the penal code, in Italy there are four authorized casinos located in Campione d´Italia ( Casino Campione), Saint-Vincent ( Casino de la Vallee), Sanremo ( Casino Sanremo). Venice ( Casino Venezia).The casino was opened in 1921, and was closed in 1940, with the beginning of the war. On March 1947, the casino reopened.
