Espinho was no doubt the portuguese place in which gambling was more intensively explored and played. One can say that gambling houses, although forbiden, existed in Espinho at least back to 1872.From those times there were more than twenty gambling houses, some oppulent, some more modest. This was only achieved in late 1927, with gambling regulations , being gambling concentrated in one casino only- Casino de Espinho. Casino Bragança fonctioned in the same building where Hotel Bragança was previously installed ( existed in 1881 ) |
